Preparations are going well, but I still have lots to do for the up coming Art Market! Tomorrow, and over the next few days I hope to post some previews of what I’m going to be selling at the Elder Street Art Market here in Houston. First I wanted to share the “Why” behind me doing this art market. This video pretty much sums it up.
20% of all the proceeds made at the Art Market will be going to Advent Conspiracy that in turn goes to Living Water International to help give people across the globe access to clean water. I can’t think of a better way to use my artistic gifts. People in my community get to give one-of-a-kind gifts, all while helping others in need. So far I have prints, jewelry, scarves (as seen above), headbands and eight new 3D Paper Mache Animal Heads in the works. Speaking of which I’ve got to get back to work!
It’s supposed to be cold (for Houston) here on Saturday, but the market will be dry, warm, it has it’s own coffee shop. And there will be food trucks. So come on by and pick up some unique gifts that help support an amazing cause, or just come by and say hi! And, if you can’t make it to the Elder Street Art Market, but are still interested in Advent Conspiracy, check out their App. The above video tells you a bit more about it!
