Lara Casey posted this on Instagram on November first. I had been thinking about trying to do some kind of daily challenge for the month of November, and I knew I needed to keep it simple, and this challenge fulfilled my criteria so I decided to go for it!
I’m so glad I did. This month has been busy, and next week only looks busier, but the exercise of focusing on what I’m grateful for each day helps me stay centered.
I’m grateful for my best friend and husband. We have weathered a lot together and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. Plus, he has cute dimples.
Yep, I’m thankful for sweet potatoes, and bacon, and well, food in general. I love to cook, and I love to eat and I am so grateful I don’t have to worry about being hungry.
I think nature is were I see God most often. In beautiful weather and rain storms, sunsets and fields of flowers. Nature is so vast, ever changing, and I’m grateful when it leaves me awestruck by how wonderful our Creator is.
My Hands! I use them almost every moment I’m awake and am so grateful for all they help me to do. The list is really too long for me to even mention a few, but just spend one day noticing everything your hands do.
I’m grateful for my Ecclesia Small Group. They are a second family to Sean and me, and I look forward to the fellowship we share with them every week.
My students humble me and have taught me so much over the last seven years. Their passion, unconditional love, joy and honesty push me everyday to be better in everything I do. I am so grateful to work with them.
And last for this week, I’m grateful for coziness. The fact that on chilly nights I have a warm house, warm blankets and warm cinnamon tea reminds me how blessed I am. It also reminds me of all the other people who don’t have my comfort and it challenges me to help.
What are you grateful for this week? I’d love for you to share!
