Ever since I can remember I’ve loved creating things, especially pretty things.
I remember my pre-school days of coloring for hours, finishing books of dot-to-dots, organizing my friends toys, all in my mind making things pretty. Yes, I was ‘that’ kid who would organize your toys for you before we played with them just so they had a spot to be put away when we were finished. Now, not everything I created was pretty. The hole my neighbor and I dug in her yard, lined with trash bags and edged with rocks was not pretty. But it was the best Barbie swimming pool we could imagine. I loved to build, create, and design with my friends. My love for these things has only grown over time.
I started this blog as a way to stay connected with my friends and family when I was away at college, but it has turned into so much more. I now write to hopefully connect with a larger audience and share my passion for creating and observing the beauty around us and finding joy in the details of life together.
I am a passionate person and here at A Sharper Focus Blog I love sharing my passions for photography, food, art, craft, design, and my walk as a daughter of Christ. I hope to connect with and inspire others to focus on the details of life, they may not always be pretty, but together we can turn them into something wonderful.
I am 30, a wife of five years and a child of Christ.
I am constantly humbled and inspired by my students as an elementary art teacher.
I love having the opportunity to create lasting memories with my photography business.
I could spend hours in the kitchen cooking to bring joy to my friend’s and family’s taste buds.
I seem to always have a project in the works and am happiest when my hands and mind are being creative.
I strive to live with a daily focus to bring more love this earth.
1 John 4:19 – We love because he first loved us.
How the Blog Got It’s Name
Before I was married I was Sarah Harper, which shortens to S.Harper. When I started doing photography A Sharper Focus seemed like the perfect match. And now you know how the blog was named!
